Easter is just around the corner so I wanted to share some eggs-cellent activities for celebrating the holiday! And you guessed it, they’re all egg themed! 😉

Easter Egg Craft

Cut out an egg shape on cardstock. Draw a design on the egg using a white crayon and then paint over it with watercolors. The crayon design will show up once the egg is painted, revealing a beautiful crayon resist! (Click the image for a template of this craft.)

 Egg Matching Game

Aren’t these egg puzzles cute?? Before playing this game, review rhyming words and even read some books with rhyming words. To play, match the rhyming words (pictures) to complete the puzzles.

Egg Playdough Shapes

Before starting this activity, show your child(ren) how to roll a “snake” with the playdough. (They will need to be able to make different length “snakes.”) Look at the shape on the mat and read the name before making it with playdough. You can use the recommended colors or choose your own!

Chicken Life Cycle

Read See How They Grow: Chick by Jane Burton and then complete this chicken life cycle activity. Cut out the chicken life cycle cards and glue them in order.

E is for Egg

Learn about the letter E! Color in this cute printable and color the letter E in Easter colors!

I hope you have an eggs-citing time doing these activities with your kiddos!
